What you'll be doing here
  • Carrying out experimental archaeological research as part of the Archaeobark project and collaborate with the archaelogists and conservators working in the project
  • Reconstruct the processes involved in the production of prehistoric linden bark containers
  • Conduct experiments to evaluate and document the use of various bark types and tools
  • Organize workshops for team members to practice and apply the tested techniques
  • Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications and presentations for academic conference
What you'll bring with you
  • Successful completion of a Master's degree in Conservation and Restoration, Experimental Archaeology, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in reconstructing archaeological objects, with prior expertise in working with plant materials
  • Strong interpersonal skills, combined with flexibility, the ability to work independently, interdisciplinary and a structured approach to tasks
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
