What you'll be doing here
  • Developing the concept and establishing the organisational structure for the new degree programme, directing the programme and overseeing the curriculum in terms of content and staffing
  • Planning personnel and the budget, recruiting lecturers and assistant lecturers, as well as overseeing the development and quality control of teaching content
  • Student recruitment, the implementation and direction of the admission procedure and student counselling
  • Positioning the degree programme nationally and internationally, representing it and building networks, both within the Academy as well as with external partners from different fields
  • Representing the degree programme in the governing bodies of the Division of Art and Design, participation in the development of the division, tasks relating to the HKB and the BFH generally and research projects as well as, depending on suitability, teaching activity and the supervision of student work
What you'll bring with you
  • You have a relevant higher education degree and expertise in transformation or social design and the ability to shape current social challenges
  • You have leadership, conceptual and organisational skills as well as a sensitivity for diversity, equality and inclusion in the context of a university of design and art
  • You have artistic and academic abilities, ideally complemented by qualifications and experience in research in your specialist field
  • You have at least two years teaching experience at higher education level, enjoy working with students and ideally have a certificate in higher education didactics (or the willingness to acquire this)
  • You are a communicative, team-oriented and outstandingly networked personality with strong social, communication and intercultural skills.
  • The interviews will take place on March 18th (1st round) and March 24th (2nd round).
